CUC-chem Creative United Co has been supplying high performance chemicals to the mining industry for more than 17 years. The products include ARfom®, Minefloc®A192 and other brands used for solvent extraction, flotation, mineral collection and depression. CUC-chem has experienced staff for developing solutions and delivering products in GCC to support the mining industry.

 

We also offer a number of other propriety products including flotation oils, frothers, depressants, sulfur-based collectors, solvent extraction diluents, and tannins. We are continually developing new products to provide solutions to difficult problems in the operation.

These petroleum distillates and synthetically produced hydrocarbons are manufactured specifically for use in solvent extraction operations of metals, and manufactured to close specifications, in order to ensure product consistency and to optimize phase disengagement in materials that include, but not limited to, copper, platinum, palladium, uranium, vanadium, beryllium and lanthanide series metals.

 

AR-fom® AR Solvent Extraction Diluents

 

What are CUC-chem Chemical AR-fom® AR Solvent Extraction Diluents?

 

AR-fom® AR Solvent Extraction Diluents are petroleum distillates and synthetically produced hydrocarbons that are manufactured specifically for use in solvent extraction operations of metals. AR-fom® AR Solvent Extraction Diluents are manufactured to close specifications in order to ensure product consistency and to optimize phase disengagement in materials that include, but not limited to, copper, platinum, palladium, uranium, vanadium, beryllium and lanthanide series metals.

 

BENEFITS

 

AR-fom® AR-11 Solvent Extraction Diluent is a synthetically produced product for use in solvent extraction of metals in high temperature circuits. This product is useful where a very low aromatic, high flash point and environmentally desirable diluent is needed.

 

AR-fom® AR-12 Solvent Extraction Diluent has been specially treated to minimize problems associated with copper cathode removal and optimize phase break times. This product is the preferred product for superior phase disengagement and rapid transfer kinetics in solvent extraction circuits.

 

AR-fom® AR-80 Solvent Extraction Diluent is a petroleum distillate based product with a higher flash point that results in lower evaporative loses while maintaining superior phase disengagement and rapid transfer kinetics. This diluent is the preferred product in higher altitude operations.

 

 

·       Hydrocarbon Collectors

 

Highly effective collectors in primary and by-product mineral sulfides, compatible with all conventional collectors and stable over a wide pH range. Plant use proven to improve sulfide mineral recovery when added to the primary grinding and cleaner stages for maximum effectiveness.

 

AR-fom® and Chemflo® Hydrocarbon Collectors

 

What are CUC-chem Chemical Mining Flotation Oils?

 

Our AR-fom® and Chemflo® Flotation Oils are highly effective collectors in both primary and byproduct mineral sulfides. They are compatible with all conventional collectors and are stable over a wide pH range. Plant usage has demonstrated that these hydrocarbon collectors improve sulfide mineral recovery and are maximally effective when added to the primary grinding and cleaner stages.

 

BENEFITS

 

AR-fom® ARS Flotation Oil is an effective, economical, high flash copper and copper/moylbdneum sulfide mineral flotation collector that provides benefits over hydrocarbon based streams such as diesel and kerosene. AR-fom® ARS is Reach compliant, non-carcinogenic and does not vary seasonally as does refinery produced diesel and kerosene. It is fully compatible with the addition of secondary collectors such as xanthates, to optimize recoveries.

 

AR-fom® ARX Flotation Oil is a high flashpoint, synthetically produced Isoparaffinic collector that has demonstrated superior recovery on fine grind gold sulfide containing ores. With a very low aromatic content and no NOX containing components, interferences are eliminated and there are no unwanted chemical interactions during recovery and storage. This product is non-carcinogen and Reach Compliant.

 

AR-fom® ARO Flotation Oil is a specially formulated, high viscosity collector with proven recovery advantages as a primary collector in copper and molybdenum porphyry ores that have not been adequately liberated. This product demonstrates superior performance when added with secondary sulfide based collectors like AR-fom® AR Sulfur based collectors or Xanthates.

 

Chemflo® Flotation Oil is the preferred primary hydrocarbon collector for Molybdenite ores. This medium viscosity flotation oil demonstrates superior molybdneum recovery while minimizing undesired floatable Iron minerals. This collector optimizes recovery when added directly to the ball mill and is compatible with depressants such as AR-fom® D8 Depressant for copper (Chalcopyrite), iron (Pyrite) and lead (Galena). This product is Reach compliant. Demonstrated higher recoveries at lower dosages minimizes hydrocarbon carryover into the molybdneum concentrate.

 

 

·       Sulfur Based Collectors​

 

Highly effective non-selective collectors for sulfur-based minerals, and used independently as the primary collector or in addition to ARfom® and Chemflo® hydrocarbon based collectors for superior recovery of chalcocite, chalcopyrite, Molybdenite and other floatable sulfur based ores. Also used with most conventional collectors, depressants, frothers and are stable over a wide pH range creating highly-effective collector systems which can be tailored to optimize recoveries to specific minerals

 

AR-fom® AR Sulfur-Based Collectors​

 

What are CUC-chem Chemical AR-fom® AR Sulfur-Based Collectors?

 

Orfom® MC Sulfur-Based Collectors are highly effective non-selective collectors for sulfur-based minerals. They are used independently as the primary collector or in addition to AR-fom® and Chemflo® hydrocarbon based collectors for superior recovery of chalcocite, chalcopyrite, Molybdenite and other floatable sulfur based ores. They can be used with most conventional collectors, depressants, frothers and are stable over a wide pH range. These highly effective collector systems can be tailored to optimize recoveries to specific minerals.

 

BENEFITS

 

AR-fom® AR-27, AR-37 and AR-47 Sulfur-Based Collectors are designed to increase total recovery of sulfur-based ores when added to the primary grinding stage. This family of products is very effective to optimize recovery of copper and molybdenum in chalcocite, chalcopyrite and Molybdenite ores when added with typical copper collectors. Our technology will allow for these products to be formulated specifically for different ore bodies.

 

AR-fom® AR-24 and AR-44 Sulfur-Based Collectors are designed to give optimum recoveries of sulfur-based ores in odor sensitive environments. This family of products is also very effective in the recovery of copper and molybdenum in chalcocite, chalcopyrite and molybdenite ores. Our technology will allow for these products to be formulated specifically for particular ore bodies.

 

FORMULATION GUIDELINES

 

The AR-fom® AR Sulfur-Based Collectors are very effective at increasing recoveries of sulfur-based ores when used with typical collectors, frothers and depressants as shown below. Typical dosage rates for these collectors added to the primary grinding stage as the lone Mo or Cu/Mo collector range between 25 g/tonne (0.05 lb/ton) and 75 g/tonne (0.15 lb/ton). When added as a co-collector listed below, the dosage rate is less than 50 g/tonne (0.10 lb/ton). To optimize Cu recovery, secondary collectors, such as xanthates and AR-fom® Flotation Oils should be included alongside the AR-fom® AR Sulfur-Based Collectors.

 

 

·       Depressant​s

 

A water soluble product useful for selective depression of various mineral sulfides during the flotation process of chalcocite, molybdenite and other sulfide ores. Most effective in depressing iron as Pyrite and chalcopyrite, and lead as galena, in primary and by-product molybdenite flotation circuits.

 

AR-fom® D8 Depressant

 

What are CUC-chem Chemical Orfom® Mining Depressants?

 

AR-fom® D8 Depressant (di-Sodium Carboxymethyl-tri-thiocarbonate) is a water soluble product useful for selective depression of various mineral sulfides during the flotation process of chalcocite, molybdenite and other sulfide ores. This product is most effective in depressing iron as Pyrite and chalcopyrite, and lead as galena, in primary and by-product molybdenite flotation circuits.

 

BENEFITS

 

AR-fom® D8 Depressant is offered as a 38 percent Aqueous solution to maximize safety and minimize handling issues associated with alternative reagent preparation. This product is very effective in depressing iron and lead minerals when added to the secondary grinding stage or cleaner circuit. The AR-fom® D8 is effective in basic and acid pH ranges. It is also used in addition to Nokes reagent to reduce its total dosage rate. The AR-fom® D8 Depressant is also less odorous than sodium hydrosulfide and Nokes, and significantly less toxic than most traditional depressants.

 

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

 

AR-fom® D8 Depressant dosage should be 5 g/ton (0.01lb/ton) to 25 g/ton (0.05 lb/ton) when added to the grinding mills or conditioner. In the cleaner circuits, the dosage rates should be increased to 25 g/ton (0.05 lb/ton) to 500 g/ton (1 lb/ton) of concentrate to make final grade.

 

 

·       Frothers​

 

A proprietary blend of alcohols for specific uses in copper, molybdenum, potash and phosphate flotation plants.

What are CUC- Chemical Orfom® Frothers?

 

CUC-fom® Frothers are a proprietary blend of alcohols for specific uses in copper, molybdenum, potash and phosphate flotation plants.

 

BENEFITS

 

CUC-fom® Frothers produce a stable, non-persistent froth without the presence of propylene glycol. These products may be of particular benefit in applications where methyl isobutyl carbinol (MIBC) is used but less brittle froth is desired.

 

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

 

CUC-fom® F2 Frother is of benefit in flotation circuits where the desired result is a less brittle, medium depth, faster breaking froth than MIBC. It can be added to the grinding stage or conditioning stage depending on the operation. Dosage is dependent on ore and water characteristics, but is typically between 5 g/ton (0.01 lb/ton) and 100 g/ton (0.2 lb/ton).

 

CUC-fom® F8 Frother produces a strong, medium depth, fast-breaking froth. This product is typically added to the grinding stage. Dosage is dependent on ore and water characteristics, but typically added between 5 g/ton (0.01 lb/ton) and 100 g/ton (0.2 lb/ton).

 

 

·       Flotation Oils​

 

A family of non-polar oil blends used for potash and phosphate flotation, and designed to improve the recovery by enhancing the flotation of coarser particles at lower dosages than fuel oil, kerosene and diesel. These flotation oils can be mixed directly with fatty amine, fatty acid collectors and commercial frothers. The high flash points and modified pour point contribute to better operational safety and efficient flotation over a wide range of operating temperatures.

What is CUC- Chemical chemflo® Flotation Oil?

 

Chemflo® Flotation Oil is a family of non-polar oil blends used for potash and phosphate flotation. These products are designed to improve the recovery by enhancing the flotation of coarser particles at lower dosages than fuel oil, kerosene and diesel. Chemflo® Flotation Oils can be mixed directly with fatty amine, fatty acid collectors and commercial frothers. The high flash points and modified pour point contribute to better operational safety and efficient flotation over a wide range of operating temperatures.

 

BENEFITS

 

Chemflo® Flotation Oil is a premium product for the recovery of a wide range of particle sizes in potash and phosphate flotation. Reliable recovery performance through the season's temperature variations is due to consistent chemical composition and controlled viscosity. The oils heavy components are maximized but do not affect drying or caking concerns.

 

Chemflo® HV Flotation Oil has all the benefits of Chemflo® Flotation Oil but is formulated to be the preferred product for recovery of coarse particle size ores while optimizing low temperature properties. The heavy components common to other extender oils are kept to a minimum for efficient drying and lower caking.

 

Chemflo® 50 Flotation Oil is an excellent choice to maximize recovery of medium particle size ores while optimizing the cold temperature properties for optimum handling.

 

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

 

The dosage rates of Chemflo® Flotation Oils when added to the conditioning drum or directly to the flotation cells are dependent on the ore and process, but typically range from 25 g/ton (0.05 lb/ton) to 100 g/ton (0.20 lb/ton) of flotation feed.
